About Saint Rita:
Saint Rita of Cascia, known as the ‘Saint of the Impossible,’ was born in 1381 in Italy. She is revered for her steadfast faith and extraordinary life marked by personal suffering and deep compassion. Married at a young age, Rita endured an abusive marriage yet remained committed to her vows. After her husband’s death, she pursued a religious life and became a nun in the Augustinian order. Depicted with a cross and an angel holding a crown of thorns, these symbols represent her deep faith, acceptance of suffering, and connection to the Passion of Christ. Saint Rita is known for her miraculous intercessions, particularly in difficult situations, and her legacy of forgiveness and hope continues to inspire many in the Christian faith.
