About Saint George:

Saint George was a Roman soldier born in the 3rd century in Cappadocia, known for his strong Christian faith. He served in the army under Emperor Diocletian, who enforced harsh persecution against Christians. Saint George openly declared his belief in Christ, which led to his arrest. He was martyred for his unwavering commitment to his faith. Saint George is dedicated slaying a dragon, symbolising his victory over evil and his role as a protector. This has made him a prominent figure in Christian hagiography. His feast day is celebrated on 23rd April, and he is regarded as a patron saint of soldiers, farmers, and scouts, inspiring many with his courage and dedication to God.
