About Saint David:

Saint David the Prophet and King is a revered figure in Christianity, best known as the author of the Psalms and as the righteous king of ancient Israel. Chosen by God, David ruled with a heart devoted to justice and faith, and his psalms have become timeless expressions of worship, repentance, and human emotion. Despite his royal status, he lived humbly, seeking God’s guidance and forgiveness throughout his life. His legacy as a man ‘after God’s own heart’ is cherished in Christian tradition, and he is seen as an ancestor of Jesus Christ, fulfilling God’s promise of a Saviour from David’s line. Saint David’s life reminds believers of the power of faith, repentance, and devotion. He is commemorated in the Orthodox Church on 26th December.
