The Power of Affirmations and the Subconscious:

One of the most important elements of candle therapy meditation is your intention. You need to be very clear about your desired outcome. Not having a clear picture of what you want is often the first obstacle to manifesting your desires, so it is vital that you’re crystal-clear when placing your order with the universe. Not having intent is typical nowadays. So, many of us don’t know where we’re headed or even what we want to manifest in our world.

In my book, "Light My Candle: The Flame Within", I give you an exercise to complete for the forty days to help you explore what you wish to manifest and clarify your intention. For example, when you go through this exercise, you may find that you wish to release your fear of success. Once that desire is clear, you’ll write down an affirmation, or positive statement in your journal to bring about this outcome. An affirmation for the previous example might be: “I attract success and prosperity with all of my ideas.”

Next, you’ll repeat the affirmation to impress this new belief on your subconscious mind. The subconscious does not know the difference between what is real and what is not, so when you impress beliefs, ideas, and visions on it with absolute conviction every day, with divine grace, this will put you on the path to fulfilling your life’s desires.

I will give you the same tool as I have written in my 40 candle therapy program. You’ll need to promise yourself that for the next forty days straight, you’ll write down or say each of the affirmations you choose to create and manifest the outcome you desire once a day, repeatedly 40 times. This exercise should not take you more than five minutes. This is important because it takes forty days of repetition to impress a new belief upon the subconscious mind.

When you learn to ride a bicycle, you’ll concentrate deeply on the road ahead. We do this because we must train the conscious mind to the new skill of riding the new contraption - the bicycle. Then, after a couple of weeks of practice, the whole process will have become ingrained in the subconscious mind and has become second nature, and before too long we’re able to do all sorts of tricks on the bicycle.

You can change your mind’s blueprint in all areas of your life with this same process. It’s as simple as riding a bicycle!

Try the following affirmations, and you’ll see how your life changes for the better!

Affirmations for love:

“I am love.”

“I love and accept myself for who I am.”

“I am connected to the kingdom of love and light.”

“I am loved and I allow myself to be loved.”

“All of my relationships are meaningful and fulfilling.”

“Today I release fear and open my heart to true love.”

“I am the perfect partner for my perfect partner.”

“I give out love, and it is returned to me, multiplied.”

“I am love and light.”

“I am blessed with infinite love and gratitude.”

“’I am surrounded by love.”

“I love and accept myself exactly as I am.”

“I am worthy, I am deserving.”

“I am unconditional love.”

“What I think, I create. What I feel, I attract. What I imagine, I become.”


Affirmations for life:

“I am, that I am.”

“I am the joy I want to experience.”

“I am the peace I want to experience.”

“Today I see each moment as a new opportunity to express my greatness.”

“Opportunities are everywhere, and I choose to see them.”

“I am connected to my soul song.”

“Today I am connected to my highest wisdom.”

“I am a sixth sensory being.”

“I am in tune with my inner voice.”

“I am connected to my "I am" presence.”

“I am centred, calm and clear.”

“I honour the best parts of myself and share them with others.”

“I am the image and likeness of God.”

“I view life as a joyous dance.”

“I am at peace.” “I trust in the process of life.”

“I have a glorious life, and I accept it with peace.”

“I can achieve greatness.”


Affirmations for abundance:

“I pay my bills with love, as I know abundance flows freely through me.”

“I am open to and freely accept abundance now.”

“Thank you, universe, for my great abundance.”

“I feel joyful and attract abundance.”

“I love abundance in all its beautiful forms.”

“Money flows easily through me, always.”

“I can master anything.”

“I have the power to make all my dreams come true.”

“I always have more than enough of everything I need.”

“Today I expand my awareness of the abundance flowing around me.”

“I allow the universe to bless me with infinite gifts of wealth and prosperity.”

“I am grateful and my heart centre attracts more of what I desire.”

 “I am open to the flow of great abundance in all areas of my life.”


Affirmations for forgiveness:

“I forgive myself and others.”

“My forgiving nature is contagious.”

“Forgiveness brings me emotional and mental freedom.”

“I forgive those who have harmed me in my past.”

“Peace begins with a conscious choice.”

“By becoming peace, I create peace in every experience.”


Affirmations for health:

“I am open to releasing unhealthy thoughts.”

“I am healthy and whole.”

“I listen to my body’s messages with love.”

“I know that my healing is already in progress.”

“My body has it’s own soul song, and I trust that soul song completely.”

“I love my body fully, deeply and completely.”

“I am growing more beautiful and luminous day-by-day.”

“I choose to see the divine perfection in every cell of my body.”

“Abundant heath and wellness are my birth right.”

“Thank you for my strength, my health and my vitality.”

“I love taking good care of my physical body.”

“My mind, body and spirit are perfectly aligned.”

Every morning when I wake up, before jumping out of bed, part of my morning ritual is to say my affirmations 40 times, and every 40 days I change them up depending on my desired outcomes. Then, when I have finished brushing my teeth I do some mirror work! I look at my reflection, focus on my eyes, visualise a bright light around me and I say 10 things that I'm grateful for. It could be the things in my past, present or future. But, I deliver all with conviction and gratitude in the present moment, even if they yet, haven't been manifested. 

I highly recommend that you use the tool I have given from my book, and give affirmations a try!  Believe me when I say that after 40 days you will have re- wired your mindset and blueprint.
